On May 28–30, 2026, retail leaders from nine Eurasian countries will meet in Almaty to align strategies for the development of the regional retail market and to sign contracts with suppliers of technology, innovation, IT solutions, equipment, FMCG products, and retail services.
During these days, the 23rd International “World of Trade” Convention will take place. With 13 years of history, it is a closed professional platform for owners and top executives of the largest retail groups from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Russia, and Belarus.
The Convention is strictly invitation-only. Participation is possible by pre-registration and status confirmation only, ensuring a high level of business focus and the quality of professional communication.
For suppliers, this is an opportunity to enter the Central Asian market through direct contact and to hold face-to-face negotiations with more than 100 retail chains across the region.
For retailers, the Convention is a traditional closed-door meeting within a trusted professional circle. It provides a space for joint industry decision-making with business and government representatives, experience exchange, assortment expansion, and the selection of new strategic partners.
Each Convention participant conducts 30–50 pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with potential partners and clients.
The program includes exclusive market analytics on Central Asia, keynote presentations and case studies from CEOs of leading retail chains, direct B2B negotiations between suppliers and distributors from around the world, a retail technology exhibition, and a business–government dialogue on industry regulation.
On the third day, participants will take part in guided visits to leading retail chains in Almaty.
Each year, the agenda focuses on the most relevant industry challenges. In an environment shaped by changing consumer behavior, the growing impact of e-commerce, workforce shortages, and fiscal and regulatory changes, direct dialogue and personal agreements become a key competitive advantage. The Convention serves as a strategic alignment point, where partnerships are formed and decisions are made for the years ahead.
Traditionally, the Convention hosts the largest gathering of buyers and suppliers in Central Asia – the World of Trade Purchasing Center.
The Purchasing Center is a structured system of individual negotiations between retailers and suppliers, where decisions are made by executives who directly influence assortment, contracts, and long-term development strategies.
Participation for suppliers is paid.
Participation for retailers is free and includes access to all sessions, business lunches, networking events, and on-site visits to retail chains in Almaty.
Decisions made here shape the market reality for years to come. If your company is building its 2026–2030 development strategy, it makes sense to be among those who define the rules of the market, rather than adapt to them later.
Participants consistently highlight the high level of organization and strong commercial results of the International Convention and the World of Trade Purchasing Center. Reviews from previous years are available here:
